Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for a modified wood which prevents the oozing of a fireproof chemical and is of superior fine retardant properties and dimension stability.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of phenol resin and a fireproof chemical composed of a phosphorus and nitrogen compound having methylol and/or amino (for example, N-methyloldialkylphosphonopropionamide, a reaction product of guanidine phosphate and formaldehyde, guanylurea phosphate, ammonium carbamyl polyphosphate or the like) is contained in a wood, and then heat cured.
