To manufacture a mold for precision casting of Ti and Ti alloy, in which a decomposed layer developed on the surface of the casting composed of Ti and Ti alloy is slight, and therefore, the removing work of the surface decomposed layer is relieved or eliminated.
At the time of manufacturing the mold for precision casting of Ti and Ti alloy, in which after sticking an initial layer slurry and an initial layer stucco on a lost pattern, the stickings of a backup slurry and a backup stucco are performed at the necessary times to form laminated refractory and a cavity for casting is formed in the mold through the removal of the lost pattern and the burning of the laminated refractory, as the initial layer slurry, the slurry blended with the refractory powder containing calcium zirconate (CaZrO3), is used.
