Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable complete automation of successive forming and assembling steps and mass-production at inexpensive cost by connecting three parts, that is, main body, lid shaped body and partitioning plate by means of connecting parts. CONSTITUTION:By press forming a metal belt member, three parts, that is, a main body 1, a lid-shaped body 2 and a partitioning plate 3 which are connected integrally to each other by means of connecting parts 9 and 10. Upon this occasion, a port 6 connected to an exhaust pipe, an exhaust port 7 and a communicating hole 8 are simultaneously formed. A caulking allowance part 11 is formed across the substantially full peripheral edge of the edge part 1a except a part 9 connecting the main body 1 to the lid-shaped body 2. The connecting part 9 is formed in a narrow width. Three parts 1-3 of the formed article are folded by connecting parts 9 and 10. The peripheral edges 1a-3a of these three parts 1-3 are superimposed on each other, and the caulking allowance part 11 is bent in a section of substantially U-shape, and the superimposed part is caulked to clamp the same and assembled integrally.
