Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a multiple disc clutch using wave type clutch plates while securing the normal end play quantity with high accuracy under prescribed load.
SOLUTION: A clutch retainer 11 with a piston 13 and a plurality of annular clutch plates 15, 16 stacked in this order inside is placed on a bearer 21, and the clutch plates 15, 16 are pressed onto the retainer 11 side with the load value that stabilizes the flexural quantity of the clutch plates 15, 16. After the retainer 11 is moved down by a prescribed end play part from this state, the piston 13 in the retainer 11 is moved up by the end play part so as to impart the load again to the clutch plates 15, 16. In this state, the outer peripheral wall of the retainer 11 is deformed onto the clutch plate side (inside) by a punching edge 27 driven by a cylinder device 28 in the upper end position of the clutch plates 15, 16 to form a locking part to the clutch plates.
