PURPOSE: To obtain a dial with new design by changing color of the top surface from color of the side surface of projecting parts such as letter marks or the like of the dial for wrist watch.

CONSTITUTION: A surface pattern is formed on a dial base by mechanical processing, and plating is performed at need, and coating is performed thereon to form a non-conductive film layer, and thereafter, parts of letters, abbreviations, and marks or the like are projected, and the only part of the side surface of the projecting parts, where a conductive base metal layer is exposed, is electrodeposition coated with the conductive thermosetting coating, and furthermore, the top surface of projecting letters, abbreviations and marks or the like are colored.
