PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a negative electrode for forming a lithium secondary battery which is substantially compatible to metal lithium in view of electromotive force, where dendrite is difficult to grow, and excellent in battery function such as high electromotive force performance and a cycle lifetime at the time of electric charging/discharging.
CONSTITUTION: A metal lithium plate 4 is soaked into a non-aqueous electrolyte 2 inccluding lithium salt where particles 3 capable of alloying with lithium are dispersed. A voltage is applied between a negative electrode consisting of the metal lithium plate and a positive electrode 5 under irradiation 6 of a nultrasonic wave. Consequently, an electrodeposition layer of a mixture of the metal particles with the lithium ion is formed on the metal lithium plate.
