Abstract:
Olefins are prepared by thermal cleavage of hydrocarbons in the presence of steam in an indirectly heated tubular furnace in which hydrocarbons are employed for the thermal cleavage which have been prepared by reacting carbon oxide and hydrogen on supported ruthenium catalysts.
