To provide a method for manufacturing an opaque film for turning a film into opaque even by using resin of low softening point in place of a cyclopentadiene resin of high softening point.

A resin having the cyclic structure of 3-40 pts.wt. is blended polyolefin resin of 100 pts.wt. The temperature of the softening point of the resin having the cyclic structure by the ring and ball method is higher than by 5-80°C than the melting point (DSC melting peak temperature) of polyolefin resin, and the resin having the cyclic structure is non-compatible with polyolefin resin. A film of the above resin composition is formed at the mold temperature higher by 60-120°C than the softening point of resin having the cyclic structure. A non-oriented film thus formed is oriented by four times or more of the area magnification at the orienting temperature of at least lower by 5-25°C than the melting point of polyolefin resin and at least lower by 20°C than the softening point of resin having the cyclic structure.
