PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce curling and, in addition, make continuous and consistent manufacturing including the formation of protective layer possible by a method wherein web, which is made of the same material as base material, is fixed onto photo-recording layer by pressure through the application of ultraviolet curing resin as adhesive for photo-setting.

CONSTITUTION: PET film, which is the same material as base material and fed out of web feeding-out part 15 consisting of a 1000m roll of film having the width of 250mm and the thickness of 20μm, is fed at 10-15m/min, passed through a web tension ad web edge position detecting and controlling section 16 and a forward rotation coiled bar system undercoating part 17 having the mean coil diameter of 6mm and the wire diameter of 0.06mm, an undercoat drying part 18 and reaches a ultraviolet- curing resin application part 19, at which a forward rotation coiled bar system undercoater, which is the same as used at the undercoating part 17 and has the mean coil diameter of 6mm and the wire diameter of 0.04mm is used. Next, the hardness of resin is controlled so as to be suitable for fixing by pressure with two 1kW UV lamps 21 at a pre-curing part 20. After that, the resultant film is led to a pressure roller 22 so as to be fixed onto web, which is prepared by producing photo-recording layer on the base material.
