Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance and flexibility of a pyroelectric body by using aliphatic diamine and aliphatic diisocyanate as the raw monomers of a polyurea resin. CONSTITUTION:While the amount of evaporation of each raw monomer of a polyurea film, 1,9-diisocyanate-nonane and 1,9-diaminononane, is measured with an evaporation monitor, the raw monomers are evaporated. After the raw monomers are deposited on a substrate 1 and electrode 2, a polyurea film 3 is formed by causing a polymerization reaction of polyurea on the substrate 1 and electrode 2. Then the facing electrode 4 of the electrode 2 is formed on the film 3 by the same method as that used for forming the electrode 2. Then an organic pyroelectric body 5 is formed by interposing the polyurea film 3 between the facing electrodes 2 and 4 arranged on the substrate 1 by performing a poling process on the film 3. The body 5 thus formed has an excellent heat resistance. Therefore, the pyroelectric effect of the body 5 can be maintained even in a higher temperature range.
