PURPOSE: To manufacture a pedal body of complex structure in one body and to reduce the price of the parts by employing extrusion and press work for forming the pedal body which has a pedal fitting part, a step part with projections and recesses, and a groove part for supporting a reflector.

CONSTITUTION: A semifinished blank material A which has a frame part 2 having a shaft hole 1 in the center, a flat part 3 which extends breadthwise outward over the frame part 2, and the groove part 4 extending from the flat part 3 downwardly is formed by extrusion. Then, the semifinished blank material A is cut in the shape of the pedal body and the flat part 3 is provided with projections and recesses 5 after or during the cutting to form the step part 6; the formation of the projections and recesses is performed by not die casting, but press work, thereby forming the pedal body B easily in one body. The pedal shaft 7 is fitted to the pedal body B and the assembling of a pedal fitted with the reflector at the groove part 4 is facilitated extremely.
