Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a photographic support small in occurrence of core set curl and good in cleavability and superior in transparency and mechanical characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: This photographic support is characterized by being made of a copolymerized polyester derived from terephthalic acid derivative and 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylic acid as aromatic dicarboxylic acid and as a diol, mainly, ethylene glycol, and having a glass transition point (Tg) of ≥90°C measured by a differential scanning calorimeter and a melting point of ≥200°C, and biaxially stretched and, after heat fixing, heat treated (anealed) at a temperature lower than Tg by 5-40°C for 0.1-100hr.
