PURPOSE: To simplify the construction operation of pipes by a method in which a thermoplastic pipe is cut-opened at a specific temperature into a banded form and cooled to ordinary temperature, and when constructing the pipe, the pipe is restored to pipy state at a specific temperature and butted portions are hot- bonded and the material is delivered and stored in the banded state.
CONSTITUTION: A pipe formed by extrusion molding is cut-opened in the longitudinal direction into a banded state while keeping it at a temperature below the melting point but above the glass transition point, cooled and coiled up. The banded material 1 so coiled is housed in a hot air box and heated. After the material 1 is bent, it is heated up to the glass transition point or more during the period when it is introduced into an outside diameter guide 3, and the ends of the pipy banded materials 1a are butted. The pipy banded material 1b is introduced into a bonder 4 to hot-bond the butted portions.
