PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing stampable sheet having excellent heating efficiency and high mechanical toughness utilizing plastic scrap.
CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing a fiber reinforced stampable sheet by paper making method by using crashed pieces of plastic scrap containing discontinuous fiber and thermoplastic resin, a fiber bundle made by collecting a plurality of single fibers is used for the discontinuous fiber or both of the single fiber and the fiber bundle are used. Further, when the fiber reinforced stampable sheet is to be manufactured by the paper making method by using crashed pieces of the discontinuous fiber, thermoplastic resin, and plastic scrap, the fiber bundle made by collecting a plurality of single fibers is used for the discontinuous fiber or both of the single fibers and the fiber bundle are used, so that a fiber reinforced stampable sheet having high mechanical toughness and excellent molding property can be obtained.
