Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate generation of concave deformation or cracks due to shrinkage, by eliminating cementated layer except profile portion after cementation process of an one body formed plate cam and then perform quenching and annealing process. CONSTITUTION:Round bar material is machined to square block for 2 cams, then profile portions A and B formed, and the other portion is machined symmetrically leaving allowance for cutting off cemented portion. Then the surface is cemented portion. Then the surface is cemented and then annealed to remove internal stress. The surfaces other than profile A and B are machined leaving finishing allowance, to remove cemented layer. Then quenching process is performed to harden only the surface of profile portion A and B. Then the Work is cut so that all parts other than profiles A, B are symmetry to obtain 2 plate cams and profile portion A and B and other parts are subjected to qrinding finish.
