PURPOSE: To manufacture a titled platelike product easily and accurately by placing a steel plate on a die provided with a die hole for forming a projected part, pressing with a punch having a specified shape and charging the deformed part of the steel plate into the hole and filling it.

CONSTITUTION: In manufacture of a disk brake lining fitting plate for vehicle etc., a steel plate 2 is placed on a die 1 provided with a die hole 1a for forming a projected part (a) and stabilized by a pressing plate 3. A pressing punch 4 having U-shaped sectional form is lowered through this pressing plate 3 and a U- shaped groove (p) is formed on the upper face of the steel plate 2 to surround three outer sides (except opposing inside edges of the die hole 1a). Deformed part of the steel plate 2 removed by forming of the groove (p) is charged and filled in the die hole 1a, and a steel plate 2 having a projected part (a) on the lower face is obtained. By fine blanking this steel plate, a platelike product in which a projected part is formed in a body on the edge part is obtained.
