PURPOSE: To obtain a transparent optical polycarbonate resin molding by molding in a specified air current a pellet produced by extruding a polycarbonate resin powder impregnated with a specified amount of pure water.
CONSTITUTION: In a method wherein a polycarbonate resin powder is extruded with a screw extruder with a vent, the polycarbonate resin powder impregnated with 0.1W5wt% of water is used or it is melted and extruded with water being fed into a hopper of the extruder at a rate of 0.1W5wt% with respect to the weight of resin extruded to produce a polycarbonate resin molding material. The water herein used shall be pure water with the conductivity of below 10μS/cm, preferably below 1μS/cm. After dried, the pellet thus obtained is fed into a hopper fed with dry nitrogen of a molding and molded to obtain a transparent optical polycarbonate resin molding.
