PURPOSE: To manufacture a polymer film having continuously controlled resistivity, by producing a polymeric charge-transfer complex film by the electrolytic oxidative polymerization of a specific substance such as benzene (derivative) in the presence of a supporting electrolyte, and carrying out the electrolytic reduction of the film under specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Benzene (derivative), (B) a 5-membered heterocyclic compound containing one element of oxygen-group or nitrogen-group, and (C) a compound having a benzene ring bonded to plural rings selected from 5-membered heterocyclic group containing one oxygen-group or nitrogen-group element directly or through ether, sulfide, selenide or telluride bond, are subjected to the electrolytic oxidative polymerization. The obtained polymeric charge-transfer complex film is subjected to the electrolytic reduction at a constant current until the voltage between the electrodes reaches a predetermined level, or at a constant voltage until the current between the electrodes reaches a predetermined level.
