Abstract:
To provide a porous metallic mold excellent in the permeability obtd. with which in the metallic mold used for non-ferrous metal casting, binder and curing agent are added and blended into metallic powder, and after forming, this formed material is fired in vacuum or in inert gas atmosphere.
The mixture adding and blending 1-5 wt.% alkaline water-soluble phenol resin to the metallic powder and 20-40 wt.% organic acid ester to the binder, is fired in the vacuum or in the inert gas atmosphere after forming a prescribed shape with a handling to obtain the porous metallic mold having 30-50% porosity.
