Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide positive electrode active material which has a crystal structure of a single phase, has no turbulence in the crystal structure, and is excellent in a cycle characteristic by manufacturing a predetermined positive electrode active material composed of a composition, Li, Ni, and Al in a specified condition.
CONSTITUTION: An alkaline solution (for example, a sodium hydroxide solution) is added to a mixed aqueous solution of Al salt (for example, aluminum sulfate) and Ni salt (for example, Nickel sulfate) so as to coprecipitate hydroxides of Ni and Al to produce a composite hydroxide. Thereafter, the same is mixed with a Li compound (for example, lithium hydroxide), and this mixture is preferably burnt at 600 to 800°C so as to manufacture a positive electrode active material which is composed of a composition, Li, Ni, and Al, and is expressed by a formula LiNixAl(1-x)O2 ((x) is 0.70 to 0.95).
