PURPOSE: To provide a positive electrode mixture for alkaline-manganese battery, which can obtain the desirable forming pressure at a low pressure so as to reduce a load to a pressing machine such as a die and which has high yield.
CONSTITUTION: Graphite as a conductive agent and the additional agent are mixed in the electrolytic manganese dioxide, and after granulating this mixture, the mixture is formed into the predetermined shape by a pressing machine such as a die. The following powder additional agent at the predetermined quantity is added to the mixture. Potassium hydroxide at 3.8% by weigh or less, potassium carbonate at 2.9% by weight or less, potassium chromate at 3.1% by weight or less, sodium hydroxide at 1.9% by weight or less, sodium nitrate at 2.6% by weight or less, sodium thiosulfate at 2.0% by weight or less, and nickel sulfate at 2.1% by weight or less are added.
