Title:
MANUFACTURE OF PTC RESISTANCE ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05267007
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a PTC resistance element of a higher sintered density at a lower sintering temperature.

CONSTITUTION: (V1-xCrx)2O3 (where, 0≤x≤0.015) is calcined at a temperature of 1100°C or above. Fe-Ni alloy is added as a sintering assistant to the calcined body. The resultant mixture is fired at a temperature of 1480°C or above to manufacture a PTC resistance element. It is preferable that the Ni content in the Fe-Ni alloy is 10% or more and the quantity of Fe-Ni alloy added is 2.5-25wt.%.
