PURPOSE: To efficiently mold and supply an upper housing and improve the productivity by patterning and storing a number of upper housings in packages using hoop metal plates.

CONSTITUTION: An upper housing 2 is molded by inserting a hoop metal plate 10 (a metal plate 9 after cutting) into a die in the same way as a lower housing 1. In this way, it is manufactured in such a preset shape that the upper opening 2a has both ends provided with recesses 2b and the metal plate 10 projects its part as a connection land 9a into each of the recesses 2b, and a LED 8 is formed which is held in close contact with the inner wall face of the recesses 2b. As hoops can be supplied to the housing 1 as well as the housing 2 during manufacturing, a number of housings 2 can be patterned and stored in packages in the process of molding to achieve efficient molding cycles. Also, the molded housing 2 can be positively positioned when supplied to an automatic assembling machine, to hardly cause chucking trouble and improve productivity.
