Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture a radiator having fins with superior corrosion resistance by forming fins from copper coated with tin, assembling the fins and a tube into one body, and carrying out heat treatment to join them together and to coat the surfaces of the fins with diffusion layers.
CONSTITUTION: Fins for a radiator are formed from a material prepd. by coating the surface of copper or a copper alloy with tin or a tin alloy. The fins and a tube are assembled into one body, and heat treatment is carried out to join them together. At the same time, the tin or tin alloy coatings of the fins are diffused to coat the surfaces of the fins with diffusion layers.
