Abstract:

To provide a method to manufacture the reduced iron at a low cost in a simple process without any defects in the conventional 'agglomeration method'.

After a series of processes (1)-(4) are achieved at east once, the obtained reduced iron is discharged out of a furnace. The process (1): a powder solid reducing agent and powder raw iron are singly and alternately charged in a reducing furnace and a laminar bed is formed on a hearth, the process (2): a fuel and a gas containing oxygen is blown into the reducing furnace, and combustion is made by the gas containing oxygen in which the combustible gas from charged fuel, and reducing agent and raw iron is generated to raise the temperate in the furnace to ≥1100°C, the process (3): the powder solid reducing agent and the powder raw iron are singly alternately charged on the bed of generated reduced iron to form the laminar bed on the bed of reduced iron after the laminar raw iron is reduced in the process (2), and the process (4): the same operation as that in the process (2) is performed.
