In light-force rolling for pressurizing the rail in the vertical direction after roller straightening in manufacture the rail by taking the difference in the curvatures in the width direction of the contact part of an upper roll with the vertex of the rail as the range of 1.6-4.6 1/m and limiting the contact width between the rail and the upper roll, the camber in the vertical direction is suppressed. Shape control of the camber which is generated in light-force rolling is enabled by adjusting the roll shape 4, the residual stress is controlled at low cost and the good-shaped rail whose camber is controlled is manufactured.
