PURPOSE: To improve the circularity of a rotary transformer coil by fixing both terminals by winding a self-welding enameled wire which has a circular cross section on a cylindrical coil forming jig, fusing both terminals by heating and pressing them without removing the molding jig.
CONSTITUTION: A self-welding enameled wire 1 is stretched between guide pulleys 8 and 9 which are erected at a prescribed interval near a mandrel 2 and a die 3, and the self-welding enameled wire 1 is wound on the mandrel 2 and the die 3 by approximately half turn of the mandrel 2 by means of a shifting device. Then, a punch is applied from top of the mandrel 2, a terminal forming jig provided with a notched part shaped the same as the notched part on the outer circumference of the mandrel 2 is inserted into a space between the die 3 and the punch, the mandrel 2 is sandwiched from both sides and the wound self-welding enameled wire is formed circularly. Then, the punch is removed, hot air is blown to the coil lead wire to fuse by heat.
