Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the precise positionings of core metals in a mold by a method wherein a pair of dents for forming the projections of a rubber crawler are continuously provided at fixed pitches so as to house a pair of corner parts formed in each core metal and set each core metal in a lower mold by pinching the central part of the core metal between projected strips.
SOLUTION: In the center cavity 2 of a lower mold 1, a pair of dents 3 for forming projections projecting from the inner peripheral surface of a rubber crawler are continuously provided longitudinally at fixed pitches. In addition, a pair of projecting strips 4 projecting opposite to the dent 3 are formed before and after between a pair of the dents 3. Further, core metals 10 are set in the cavity 2 of the lower mold 1 by putting the corner part 12 of each core metal in the dent 3 and, at the same time, pinching the central part 13 of the core metal 10 between a pair of the projecting strips 4. As a result, the strain concentrating to a rubber part is dispersed so as to realize the smooth rolling of sprockets and idlers in order to run a crawler without developing cracks in the rubber parts and separations in the interface between the rubber part and the core metal.
