Title:
MANUFACTURE OF SAFETY CATCH FOR PAINTBRUSH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3408207
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for automatically manufacturing a safety catch for attaching a tip of a paintbrush to a barrel of the paintbrush.
SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a safety catch for a paintbrush comprises a supplying mechanism for cutting out pipe-like guide metal tubes inclined by oscillating a lever having locking pawls at both ends one by one onto a bearer, a shaft advancing or retracting while rotating and mounting collars 17 at split ends together with a pawl 16, a bearing and the safety catch 34 disposed at both sides of the collar 17 for passing a shaft, a mold having a lower die 36 and an upper die 37 to form a hole 39 of a truncated conical shape by a combination of both the dies, and a hammer 41 vertically moved by a motor to press the die 37 to the die 36 when descended. In this case, when the pawl 16 engaged with the tube 1 when the shaft is advanced and the collar 17 is stopped by the catch 34 so that a shaft end is projected from the collar 17, the shaft end is radially enlarged, and the pawl 16 grasps the tube. When the shaft is further advanced so that the tube 1 is pushed into the hole 39 of the mold, the die 37 is pressed by the hammer 41 to converge the tube 1 in an end converging state.
