Abstract:
PURPOSE: To change a pitch Pn between coils of a steel strip through a numerical control system by utilizing conversion of drive pulse of a servo actuator when the steel strip is coiled spirally on a mandrel to manufacture a screw.
CONSTITUTION: A feed out speed V1 of the steel strip 1 from feed rolls 14A, 14B, the outer diameter Dn of a coil ring of the steel strip 1, the number (n) of turns of the coil, a spirally coiling pitch Pn of the steel strip 1 measured between adjacent coils, a correcting amount (h) to a spring back are inputted into a numerical controller 16 of a screw manufacturing device 20 as controlling parameters. A screw manufacturing device 20 is started, the moving speed V2 of a pitch tool 15 necessary for the pitch to change from an initial set value Pn to the next set value Pn+1 and a feed length L of a steel strip 1 are calculated and coiling operation of the steel strip 1 is repeated while converting the driving pulses of servo actuator S1 to S4 based on these calculated values.
