PURPOSE: To provide the manufacturing method for a split type screw which can avoid the stress concentration of a connecting section to a screw shaft and improve the strength for the whole of screw.

CONSTITUTION: The inner peripheral side of a screw fitted by means of a screw shaft and a key or a spline channel or the like is made of Fe alloy powder of high toughness and the outer peripheral side constituting crest and root sections of the screw is made of Fe alloy powder of high harness and resistance to wear, and both are press densified by the HIP (hot isotropic pressure method), and then hot processing and mechanical processing are carried out, and further hardened and annealed to the given hardness to form the outer peripheral section of the screw into a high hardness and wear-resistant area 12a, while the inner peripheral section is formed into a high toughness area 12b.
