PURPOSE: To secure certain seal with a simple sealing structure without deteriorating the effective surface for power generation by forming the sealing part structure in which a Cr or Ta oxide layer is formed on the interface of the metal member in contact with a sealing member.
CONSTITUTION: Before a collector lead 4 is fused through heating onto a cell case 1 the whole surface of the collector lead 4 is covered with a Cr or Ta oxide layer 5, and the lead 4 is allowed to penetrate the opening part of the cell case 1, and fused through heating in the insulated state from the cell case 1 by glass or ceramics sealing material 3. Then, the oxide layer 6 on the exposed surface of the lead 4 is removed through chemical dissolution. Therefore, the Cr or Ta oxide layer 5 which covers the collector lead 4 is left on the joint interface between the lead 4 and the sealing material 3, and the rest is removed completely Therefore, the obstruction in spot-welding of a collector plate 6 is removed perfectly, and the electrical conductivity through contact on the surface of the collector lead 4 which serves as terminal is not deteriorated.
