PURPOSE: To prevent the generation f shoe mark due to the seizure of the guide shoe almost completely by rolling after coating the outer circumferential surface of the round steel bar or the tube stock of the high temperature state with the lubricant agent on the piercing, stretching and reeling at the time of the manufacture of the seamless steel tube.
CONSTITUTION: The lubricant agent is coated on the outer circumferential surface of the round steel bar or the tube stock 5 of the high temperature state before rolling and then the rolling is executed. The nozzle 2 for atomizing the lubricant agent is set at the outlet side of the Mannesman process piercer 1, the lubricant agent of the prescribed composition is spraied on the outer circumferential surface with the prescribed pressure and the prescribed atomized amount through the pump 4 from the lubricant agent tank. In order to obtain the prescribed steel tube, after the piercing rolling is executed, it is rolled with the elongater. Because the rolling is executed in the state that the lubricant agent is always existed between the tube stock and the guide shoe 14 during rolling, so the generation of the seizure of guide shoe is prevented, and the generation of shoe mark due to the seizure of guide shoe can be almost prevented completely.
