PURPOSE: To provide a piercing/rolling method by which miss roll is not generated during piercing/rolling a material to be rolled and further internal surface flaw of a tubing by forging crack due to rotating/forging effect is not generated.

CONSTITUTION: Compression work is applied to the outer periphery of a round billet B with fixed guide shoes 3e, 3v until the round billet B reaches the tip of a plug 2 after it is bitten into inclined rolls 11, 1r. By increasing the opening degree Rg of the inclined rolls 11, 1r and/or the forward quantity 1d of plug and decreasing the draft rate Df at the tip of plug during piercing/rolling the round billet with the inclined rolls 11, 1r and the plug 2, the generation of miss roll of the inclined rolls 11, 1r to the round billet B due to bad biting and the internal surface flaw of the tubing by forged crack due to rotating/ forging effects is prevented.
