To produce large lifting force and hence ensure large magnetic lifting effect by providing a cylindrical magnet on a mineral supply side of a magnetic lifting apparatus disposed above a sintered pallet, the magnet being rotated in contact with the surface of a sintering cake, and always keeping a gap between the sintered cake surface and the magnet small.
A magnetic attraction material removal apparatus having a cylindrical magnet 11 rotating in contact with the surface of a sintered cake 7 is provided on a mineral supply side of a magnetic lifting apparatus 9 disposed above a strand of an air suction sintering machine. A magnetic attraction material on the sintering cake is adhered to the magnet 11 and the magnetic attraction material is removed rotating the magnet 11 on the strand, and simultaneously unevenness of the surface is made smooth. An adhered on the surface of the magnet 11 is scraped with a scraper 12 and is removed. A magnetic attraction material is removed and the sintering cake surface is made smooth in such a manner, whereby a gap between the sintering cake surface and the magnet 11 can be kept small stationarily with the magnetic lifting apparatus 9, and hence large lifting force can be produced.
