PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of electrolysis and the efficiency of production process as a whole by a method wherein a conductive paste layer is formed on a belt-shaped polypyrrole film formed by an electrolytic polymerization operation and a sealing material placed on it is cut off to individual box shapes to manufacture elements.
CONSTITUTION: A resist 12, having hole parts, of a belt-shaped structure is formed on a chemical formation sheet 10; an electrolytic polymerization operation is executed; a polypyrrole film 14 is formed inside the hole parts. A conductive paste layer 16 is formed on it. A sealing material 18 having box shapes of prescribed size is placed on it. It is cut along broken lines to individual box shapes; many chip units are formed of the polylyrrole film of a belt-shaped structure. Then, electrodes are formed to obtain a solid state electrolytic capacitor.
