Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacture of a spark plug, a cylinder head, and an engine to facilitate securing of the earth electrode of a spark plug to a given position by a method wherein the earthing electrode of the spark plug is thread- mounted on an engine head by applying the same tightening fastening torque.
SOLUTION: This method is executed such that a female screw is threadedly engraved in an engine head and a screw ring 82 such that the thread-engraved state of a screw is the same. A mark 820 is formed in a position on the screw ring 82 corresponding to a position on a cylinder head 81 where combustion of air-fuel mixture is not disturbed by the earhting electrode of a spark plug. Further, a main body metal fitting 1 screw rolling of which is completed is thread-mounted on the screw ring 82 and an electrode rod 102 forming an earthing electrode is welded to a tip surface 10 corresponding to the mark 820 of the screw ring 82.
