Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the remaining stresses of a bar and an end ring and to improve the reliability of a squirrel-cage rotor by forming a hollow end ring side of the bar, applying pressure to the hollow part, cooling and pressure contacting the bar and the end ring, thereby bonding the both. CONSTITUTION:Many grooves are formed on the outer periphery of an end ring 7, and bars 6 are respectively inserted into the grooves. The bar 6 of the part inserted into the end ring 7 is formed of hollow sectional shape, rubber 8 and shielding rubber 9 are inserted into the hollow part, an expanded tube rod 10 having high rigidity is formed at the periphery, and the rod 10 is pulled in the direction of an arrow. Thus, the rubber 8 expands the bar 6 to expand the hollow part, thereby rigidly contacting the periphery of the bar 6 with the end ring 7. In this manner, both the bar and the end ring can be bonded without softening, thereby improving the reliability in the strength.
