Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the peeling of a stamper from a master plate of a disk such as a video disk or a compact disk in a plating soln. at the time of manufacturing the stamper from the master plate by electroplating and to manufacture a high reliability stamper.
CONSTITUTION: Two metal rings 6, 12 different from each other in shape are disposed on a master plate 9 of a disk with a metal layer 13 formed on the surface and a metal layer 11 is formed between the rings 6, 12. The peeling of the metal layer 11 from the master 9 due to internal stress is prevented and a stamper having higher reliability than a conventional one can be manufactured.
