To suppress the occurrence of strains in a superconducting coil and the deterioration in the critical current value of the coil by coaxially arranging a heat treatment bobbin and a bobbin for coil and winding a superconducting wire around the coil bobbin through guides, while the wire is fed from the bobbin for heat treatment in a spiral state.
At the time of winding a superconducting wire 2 wound around a heat treatment bobbin 11 around a coil bobbin 12, the wire 2 is wound around the bobbin 12 through annular guides 13 and 13 independently provided from the bobbins 11 and 12, while the wire 2 is fed in a spiral state by rotating the bobbin 11. Therefore, the wire 2 can be wound around the bobbin 12 successively through the guides 13 and 13, without changing the radius of curvature of the wire 2 from that when the wire 2 is wound around the bobbin 11, by rotating the bobbins 11 and 12 in the feeding direction of the wire 2 from the bobbin 11. In addition, the bobbin 11 is tapered, so as to have its peripheral surface become gradually smaller toward the coil bobbin 12.
