PURPOSE: To greatly reduce the time required for manufacture of a superconductive coil thereby to improve productivity and decrease the manufacturing cost, by laminously coiling a superconductive wire while sandwiching projecting pieces of an insulating member, and cutting the base part of the insulating member which projects from the coiled superconductive wire.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating member 7 is formed from an epoxy-glass laminate, for example. The height H of each projecting piece 9 is made coincident with the width W of a superconductive wire 4. The superconductive wire 4 is laminously coiled while successively sandwiching each projecting piece 9 of the insulating member 7 between the adjacent turns of the wire 4, thereby to form a disk-shaped coil. The base part 8 of the insulating member 7 which projects from the surface of the coil is removed by cutting with notches 10a, 10b used as folding lines. Two disk-shaped coils of the same construction are laid one on the other through an intercoil insulating spacer 6 to form a superconductive coil 2. Thus, a plurality of projecting pieces 9 as interlayer insulating spacers can be simultaneously disposed between the adjacent turns of the superconductive wire, so that it is made possible to greatly reduce the time required for the operation.
