Abstract:

PURPOSE: To unify the thickness of resin film and obtain a superconductive rotor, high in reliability, by rotating the rotor with a speed lower than the rated r.p.m. of the same after the whole of the rotor is impregnated with the resin.

CONSTITUTION: A ground insulator 3 is assembled in a slot, provided radially on a cylindrical rotor 1, and a superconductive body 4 is wound while applying layer insulations 5 to obtain a coil 6. The ground insulator, through which a cooling passage is penetrated, is positioned at the outer diametral side of the slot 2, receiving the coil 6, and a wedge 7, having the penetrating hole of the cooling passage, is knocked. The rotor 1 is rotated in a curing chamber 10, in which the rotor 1, pregnated with resin, is supported by bearings 8, with a rotating speed lower than the rated r.p.m. of the rotor 1. The temperature in the chamber is monitored by a temperature sensor and when the ambient temperature of the rotor has exceeded a curing temperature, a duct is opened to regulate the temperature. According to this method, an uniform thin film resin layer may be formed on the surfaces of the cooling passage and the coil 6 and the strong fixture of the coil 6, integrated by the resin under a condition that there is no gap between the wedge 7, the ground insulator 3 and the coil 6, may be permitted.
