PURPOSE: To manufacture a superconducting thick film having high oriented crystallinity by forming paste kneaded with organic vehicle in rare earth element-barium-copper oxide, forming the thick film by a screen printing method in a predetermined thickness on a partial stable zirconia board, and baking it under specific conditions in an oxidative atmosphere.
CONSTITUTION: Yttrium oxide(Y2O3), barium carbonate(BaCO3) and cupric oxide(CuO) are used as starting materials, and mixed at 1:2:3 of metal ions of mixture ratio by molar ratio. They are wet mixed by a ball mill, temporarily baked at a predetermined temperature in the air, again pulverized in the ball mill, the resultant powder is kneaded with organic binder and organic solvent to be paste. This paste is printed in a thickness of 10μm or less on the board by a screen. Then, the binder of the printed matter on the board is removed in an oxidative or neutral atmosphere, and further baked at 950∼1000°C in an oxidative atmosphere.
