To enable a needle with taper tip end part to be stepwisely formed by making a wing part formed by embossing and extended in the lateral direction in the tip end part of each needle into prescribed thickness.
The tip end part of a needle blank 31 is cut or sheared in a prescribed angle against the longitudinal axis of the needle blank 31. Next, the needle blank 31 is moved to an operation station 50 and rotated in an angle necessary for trimming a residual part of the needle blank 31 by a carrier 21. Then the carrier piece member 21 and the needle blank 31 are moved to a trim station 60 and trimmed along the not trimmed opposite face of the needle. The needle blank 31 advances to upper and side faces flattening stations 70, 75 and a rough shape of the needle blank is formed there. After that, the needle blank 31 is carried to a rotary grinding station 80.
