Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a key-top which excels in the producibility and which can be manufactured at a low cost by forming a display board of a specific construction and a key-top base frame into a single piece structure through the injection molding process.
CONSTITUTION: Except an indicator display part 13, a white translucent coating layer 21 is formed over the surface of a transmissive resin sheet 20 having transparency, and thereover a light shield layer 22 is formed except the display characters 12 so that a display plate 19 is formed. This display plate 19 is set in either of a pair of dies (for example, cavity type 23) prepared for making a key-top through injection molding, followed by shutting with a core die 26, and a photo-shield resin is put by pressure into the gap between this core die 26 and the display plate 19, and a key-top base frame 18 in a single piece with the display board 19 is injection molded, and thus a key-top 11 is completed.
