Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a highly durable terminal, for which the maximum allowable flexure of its spring part is large even if it is small, with a single component structure at a low cost by using a thin metal plate of a relatively inexpensive material in relation to the manufacturing method of the terminal for a connector.
SOLUTION: This terminal for a connector is formed of a thin metal plate, provided with a receiving part 2 and a spring part 3' for a mating terminal in front of a board 4, and provided with a wire connection part at its rear part; and the plate thickness t2 of the spring part 3' is set smaller than the material thicknesses t1 of other parts. In a process comprising stamping, pressing and the like, the plate thickness of the spring part is set smaller than those of other parts by rolling only the spring part in its shaping process.
