Abstract:
PURPOSE:To inhibit stress generated in a thickness vibration piezo-electric porcelain transformer, and to prevent the peeling of an internal electrode and a piezoelectric porcelain layer by simultaneously conducting desired polarization in the high impedance section and low impedance section of the piezoelectric porcelain layer of the transformer. CONSTITUTION:A thickness vibration piezoelectric porcelain transformer is formed in a laminate composed of a low impedance section 11, which has a large number of layers and in which adjacent piezoelectric layers 14 are polarized mutually in the opposite directions, and a high impedance section 12 having a small number of layers of the piezoelectric ceramic layers 14. DC voltage is applied simultaneously to each external electrode of the low impedance section 11 and the high impedance section 12 at a temperature higher than a Curie point, and polarization treatment is executed by lowering the temperatures of each external electrode as they are.
