PURPOSE: To satisfy RMAX2μm or less surface roughness, required for a copying machine drum, with no necessity for accurate cutting work of high manufacture cost by applying roller burnishing work to an aluminum or aluminum alloy drawn pipe of 10μm or less surface roughness manufactured by drawing work.

CONSTITUTION: An aluminum or aluminum alloy pipe of 10μm or less surface roughness, finished into a predetermined dimensional shape by drawing after hot extrusion, is cut into a fixed length. Next by performing roller burnishing work of passing through a large number of burnishing rolls arranged on the circumference, this aluminum surface roughness is finished to 2μm or less.
