Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prolong the service life of a tool in a tool for hot making tubes which is used after forming oxide scales on the surface of a steel substrate.

CONSTITUTION: The steel substrate 5 is cast with metal molds 1, 2 and finished into the steel substrate by cutting its outer surface. The oxide scales are formed on the surface of the steel substrate 5. By manufacturing the steel substrate 5 by metal mold casting, the mechanical property of the substrate is improved and also the oxide scales on the surface are reformed. Further the repeat use of the substrate is enabled.
