PURPOSE: To manufacture a trim material by a method wherein, a solvent type adhesive is coated on a base material, then a surface of a nonwoven fabric on which said adhesive is coated being impregnated with a resin made swellable or dissolvable by said adhesive is brought into close contact with the aforesaid coated surface, laminated, and the both are unified by pressing.
CONSTITUTION: A base material is coated with a solvent type adhesive. Then, a surface of a nonwoven fabric on which said adhesive is applied being impregnated with a resin made swellable or dissolvable by said adhesive is brought into close contact with the aforesaid coated surface, laminated and the both are unified by pressing. At that time the resin material to be immersed into the nonwoven fabric works as an adhesive agent making the nonwoven fabric and the base material adhere together in combination, and as an embodiment, a butadiene resin is cited. In such a manner, coating operation by solvent type adhesive is simplified, thereby obtaining a method for producing a trim material capable of eliminating an oven-treating step.
